About
Most of my work can be described as abstract, however, I may also represent objects or landscapes as I create. Working primarily from intuition I often depend on color to express myself. I find great satisfaction in experimenting which has led me to explore a range of work including two and three dimensional pieces using paint, collage, found objects and clay. The world around me, particularly items or scenes found in nature, frequently provide an initial inspiration. The outcome evolves as I work, sometimes being resolved fairly quickly but more often the challenge involves ongoing trial and error. Painting is for me a solitary and deeply engaging activity. When another person recognizes or connects with what I have expressed, the satisfaction is all the sweeter.
